ABOUT ME

Shweta is well known for her various roles in her span of 24 years. She is working in entertainment industry since 2001. She has worked in numerous serials in both Marathi and Hindi language.

While studying in college, she participated in various Intercollegiate competitions. At the age of 17 she started her career as an actor.. doing her first lead role as ‘Kasturi’ in Marathi serial ‘Nayak’ aired on Zee Marathi (Formerly Alpha Marathi).

After Nayak she never looked back. She then worked in ‘Saripat Ha Sansaracha’ aired on DD Sahyadri. She was also a part of ‘Abhalmaya’, first ever Marathi Daily soap. Some of her other well-known serials include’Kunku’, ‘Hya Gojirwanya Gharaat’, ‘Asawa Sundar Swapnancha Bangla’ and ‘Manasicha Chitrakar Toh, where her antagonist role was highly appreciated.

In 2009, she did her first Marathi film ‘Jawaibapu Zindabad’ with Bharat Jadhav directed by Vijay Patkar. She has worked in Six Marathi Films.

In 2016 she played ‘Revati’ in ‘Majhya Navaryachi Bayko’ one of the famous serial in recent years on Zee Marathi. Her work as Revati received massive response and was praised by audience. She became a household name. She won an award of Best Supporting Actress in 2018 for her character 'Revati' in 'Majhya Navryachi Bayko', for which she was nominated for 4 consecutive years at Zee Marathi Awards.

Her first hindi play 'Maa Retire Hoti Hai' was with Zee5 Theatre in 2017, and her first commercial marathi play ‘Natsamrat’ in 2018 was with Zee Marathi.

Her first Hindi film ‘Tribhanga’ is with Netflix Originals which is directed by Renuka Shahane aired in January 2021. Her role as young Nayan in Tribhanga was critically acclaimed.

Her recent work includes the Marathi Serial 'Saatvya Mulichi Saatvi Mulgi', in 2023, where she played the role of 'Indrani'. Her performance in this role was well received and added another milestone to her career.
